Read Through The Bible In A Year

Women's Ministry at BFC is encouraging every woman in the church to commit to reading through the Bible in 2023. We will be providing all the resources needed to do this together and will be passionately praying over each lady for the next few months. We believe this is one of the most important components in our walk with Jesus and it can change the course of our lives for generations to come. Let's start praying together now for the lives that will be impacted during "READ IT THROUGH IN 2023!"

Read it Through Together
We believe that one of the best ways to grow in our faith is to join a group and grow together! We have a variety of small groups set up for those who would like to Read it Through in 2023 with others. Each group will meet throughout 2022 in six-week increments (six weeks on, six weeks off) to discuss what participants have been reading and learning.

If you would like more information or are interested in leading a small group starting in January, please contact tillanie@gmail.com.

Stories

Carolyn Jaggers
“Late last year, my friends were talking about reading through the Bible this year using the Bible Recap on the Bible App. I looked into it and decided this is the year I was going to read through the Bible. I am so glad that I have done it! It is important to me that I hide His word in my heart. I want Him to be able to pull it to my mind when I need it. I can't do that if I haven't read it.” – Carolyn Jaggers

Kali Bernhard
“The more I’ve learned about God by reading the Bible through that lens, the more I want to know about Him. I still don’t know all the stories in the Bible. I’m by no means a Bible scholar, and I will probably always have to use Google to remember the difference between Elijah and Elisha. But I know God so much more than I did two years ago. I also know that I’m not done learning about Him, and that is so exciting to me! I can’t wait to Read it Through in 2022.”

Margaret Eaton
"I have been a Christ follower from a young age, but I have never read the Bible from cover to cover. This year I decided I wanted to get serious about it. It’s a precious time when I listen to God’s word. I feel like He is instructing me and giving me guidance for the day and for my life. My biggest goal is to know God better. If you share that desire with me, I encourage you to join me as we read the Bible through in 2022."

Kim Cook
“I utilize the Bible Recap as a means to read through the Bible in a year. Each day, my husband and I will read and/ or listen to the scripture separately and then together as a couple we will listen to the podcast each night. This has brought us closer together. It’s a powerful thing to witness to and share scripture with your significant other. The podcast has given me a greater insight into the chapters within the Bible.”

Misty Jaggers
In recent years, Misty Jaggers "has become more and more convinced that reading God's Word, knowing His Word, and infusing it into our everyday conversations is critical." At the end of 2020, she committed to reading His Word all the way through. "I distinctly remember the moment that I realized that the same God who called Abraham, who spoke to David, who rescued Daniel, is the same God who speaks to me daily through His Word. The power of that in my life has changed everything!"

Amy Chamberlain
“As someone that has attended church practically my whole life it is hard for me to humble myself and say that I have not read the bible all the way through in my 34 years of life. I have started many times, done many bible studies and short YouVersion plans but never read the bible all the way through.”

Melissa Lewis
“At the end of last year I had several friends recommend that Bible Recap and I thought ‘I have nothing to lose, let’s give it a try and see what happens.’ And I had no idea in that moment that it would change my life and change my heart.”

Aaron and Lauren Toler
“At the beginning of each year we like to sit down together and talk about some of our dreams and our goals for the upcoming year. And as we were talking about our personal goals we both mentioned that we wanted to read the bible all the way through.”

Katy Bradley
“With all of the noise around us this has ensured that His voice is louder than any other. And when the truth is being distorted and unsure we know the truth as we are in His word. It’s awesome to hear my husband talk about what he is reading and then yesterday to hear my son talk about what he overhead in the podcast about Jesus predicting His death and asking questions about that. It just reminded me about the importance of being saturated in His word.”
