Fifth and Sixth Grade

BFC Preteen Ministry is a strong and intentional bridge between Elementary and Youth. Our students have learned through elementary that we belong to God.

In the preteen group we will continue to build on belonging: God made you because He desires a relationship with you. You Belong to Him. Our focus will shift from merely belonging to believing and becoming. Belong, Believe, Become.
Belong: we belong to God.
Believe: choose to be in relationship and accept your identity in Christ.
Become: live into what God is calling you to do and who He has made you to be.

Location

Sunday morning Preteen services are located on the second floor in an area that we call The Bridge. Wednesday night Preteen services and activties are located on the first floor in the Atrium. Students may check themselves in or may be checked in by a family member at The Bridge.

Preteen Worship

Sunday morning Preteen worship services are held in our worship room located at the Bridge at 9 and 11. This service is filled with worship, games and challenging messages to encourage each student to own their faith.

Sunday Morning Small Groups

Small Groups, at 10, are a place where students can dig a little deeper into God’s Word and connect with one another.

Family Worship Sunday

Family Worship Sunday is on the first Sunday of every month for elementary and preteens. This is a special opportunity for our preteen students to sit together either with their families or together as a preteen group. We are growing in our relationship with God and with each other. This is a great time for us to worship together as a community with the larger church community. We sit together in the front of the East side of the Sanctuary.

Wednesday Nights

Wednesday nights @The Bridge are held each week from 6-7:30. We have an awesome game time then head to worship where we can grow in our faith.

Lead

Lead is our Preteen Leadership Team where students have the opportunity serve and develop their leadership skills. Students are able to choose a Lead Team to serve on Sunday morning. If your student is interested, make sure they tell Pastor Kori so they can sign up in person.

Events

Throughout the year, we host many different types of events for students- retreats, discipleship groups, summer camps. Each of these opportunities are designed to help kids grow in their relationship with God and connect with others.
