Playground and Landscaping Nearing Completion!

Every day one more finishing touch brings the new Family Life Park to life! The playground is getting a lot of special attention as equipment is being installed. The large slide was a gift to BFC a few years ago. It is still in excellent condition and has been reinstalled in the elementary children's play area. New preschool equipment is located in an area for younger children. In the upcoming days, natural and artificial turf and playground surfaces will be installed around the equipment. Shade sails will be placed over playground equipment the week after Labor Day. Finally, picnic tables and benches will be installed as the play and gathering spaces are finished.

Last Thursday, we were notified that a significant landscaping grant had been awarded to the Family Life Park by the trustees of the Oklahoma City Community Foundation! The grant will help with the purchase of trees, the installation of a pollinator garden, and signage for the park. We are grateful for their recognition of our ministry to the community and look forward to working with the Foundation as we continue to bring new life and green space to the neighborhood.

Fall is coming and there will be high energy in the new park especially with soccer practice kicking off on September 3, and the first game on Saturday, September 21. The Fall Block Party and Grand Opening of the Family Life Park are coming soon in one big event to remember. You don't want to miss it!
