About 30% of people living on the Navajo Reservations associated with BFC's Native American Partnership in New Mexico and Arizona rely on firewood as their sole source for heating and cooking. On Saturday, March 6, from 8am to 4pm, BFC is hosting a firewood-cutting event to provide firewood for these individuals and churches.

Who can participate?
Anyone! Of course, we need several chainsaws and individuals with knowledge and experience in their operation. But, we also need willing hands, arms and backs that can pick up the cut firewood, push a wheelbarrow, and stack wood!

What?
We'll carpool from BFC to an acreage about 25 miles away to cut up downed trees and limbs, split wood using wood splitters, and carry/stack wood to a site on the property where it can be accessible for loading for delivery at a future date.

When?
Saturday, March 6, 8am-4pm
Meet at BFC at 8am to carpool.

Other details?
Sandwich ingredients, fruit, chips, cookies, and water will be provided for lunch.
