The 12th annual Swazi 5K is Saturday, September 19, 2020. The start and finish lines are at Southern Nazarene University (SNU) in front of the Royce Brown Business Building. SNU is located at 6729 NW 39th Expressway, in Bethany.

Everyone is invited to walk or run. Here is the schedule of events:

7:30am - One-Mile Fun Walk/Run

8:00am - Swazi 5k (3.1 miles) and Swazi 5K Relay (3-person team)

The cost is $25 per person, or $20 for students. 

The Swazi 5K is a popular community event in its 12th year. People from all ages over central Oklahoma come to participate in a walk/run to raise funds for needed ministries in Eswatini, Africa (formerly Swaziland) and in Bethany. This is an event for the entire family, but is also a USA Track and Field sanctioned race for all serious runners. If you can walk for an hour, then you can walk the 5K. Strollers are also welcome at the back of the 5K course. 

We are also adding a Virtual Swazi 5K in 2020! You can sign up to walk or run a 5K on your own to support the wonderful ministries that the Swazi 5K generously supports. 

The Virtual Swazi 5K begins at 8am on Friday, September 4, 2020 and must be completed by 8pm on Friday, September 18, 2020. All Virtual Swazi 5K participants will receive a goody bag and t-shirt in their chosen size. We will award medals to the top 5 men and top 5 women who submit their race time with photographic evidence of their time on a Garmin or other smart watch, but the Virtual Swazi 5K is not eligible towards USATF qualification times.
