Community Bible Study is studying 1 and 2 Thessalonians this winter!

Just weeks after establishing the church in Thessalonica, Paul was forced to flee due to intense persecution from enemies of the Gospel. Yet, even in his absence, Paul never abandoned the Thessalonian believers, who continued to face tremendous suffering for their faith. From afar, he faithfully discipled them, writing letters to offer both encouragement and instruction.

In these letters, Paul reminds the Thessalonians that their suffering is not in vain and will ultimately lead to glory. He points them to the greatest hope for every believer—the return of Jesus Christ. With this eternal hope in mind, we too can endure the most difficult days, knowing that the promise of Christ’s return serves as our anchor amid trials.

Join us as we journey through 1 & 2 Thessalonians and discover the "Hope That Holds Us."

“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.”
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 NIV
