College

Come join us as a part of BFC’s College Life ministry. Share in the journey that, as St. Paul prayed for the Ephesians, leads us to “grasp how wide and long and high and d eep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge- that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3: 18-19)

We will have fellowship and fun while exploring and engaging in a life of discipleship to Christ and imaginative servant work. Come as you are with your gifts, with your questions, with your personality and experiences. Here is a brief description of some of the opportunities in BFC’s College Life.

THE GATHERING: College students and college age young adults are invited to The Gathering on Sunday mornings at 10:15. The Gathering is located above BFC’s Southeast foyer in Room 200. We have a Bible lesson and discussion, along with application. Depending upon which service you attend, we also explore the implications of the Sunday sermon for our lives or prepare for the morning worship service. Typically, there are light breakfast food options and good fellowship.

OASIS: Oasis meets during the school year on Wednesday nights, at 8:45 p.m., in the Atrium, located on the east side of the church on Asbury St. We take a break from our regular weekly schedules to venture into a deeper relationship with Christ, and with each other. Join us as we worship God in song, explore Scripture, and apply God’s word to our lives.

SUMMER OASIS: During the summer, College students gather at the SNU Volleyball Courts on Wednesdays at 7 pm for a devotional and some time to play volleyball together. Join us for some summer fun.

Open Gym: On many Sunday evenings, we have open gym for college and college age young adults. Volleyball and basketball are currently offered. Open gym is located at BFC's Family Life Center.

The scheduled hours for open gym are:

Sunday Nights @ the Family Life Center (FLC)
7-9 pm Volleyball, Half-Court Basketball, Fitness Center and Track
9-11 pm Basketball (Full Court-2 courts)

A game room with ping pong and pool table are also available.

Service and Ministry Opportunities: BFC College Life sponsors service and ministry efforts in Christ’s name in our greater community. We desire that college students and young adults have opportunities to lead through serving. In addition, opportunities exist for you to serve in various ministries in the life of the BFC faith community. You can contact Pastor Mike Brooks to discover current or upcoming opportunities for ministry and service.
